ChristmasCard Club - Off The Wall, Wacky, Zany etc. - My Funny Fluffles

I think my card today is a funny one. Funny to me, at least! I missed so many Christmas Card Challenges during the time around my Mum's passing. This card is a very late entry for the March 5th theme, chosen by Zoe at Stamping Scene Blog. If you want to check out any of the other entries, the hyperlinks to the others ladies blogs are on my right sideboard.

In keeping with Zoe's theme, and my goal to use a NBUS item on each card this year, I chose this Stampendous Fluffles the Christmas Cat stamp. I bought this stamp last summer at one of my local papercraft store's garage sales for the princely sum of $2.00  A bargain NBUS item!

I coloured the image with pencil crayons and used Gamsol to blend with. I also managed to use up some more snippets.  The green, starry DP is from a snippet of 12x12 Doodlebug, Here Comes Santa Claus, Christmas Countdown. The pinky/red stripey paper is from a snippet of 12x12 Doodlebug, Here Comes Santa Claus, Happy Holidays. The card base and the red mat are Bazzill heavy weight card, the shade is Peppermint. I used Fawn Fawn Stitched rectangle dies to cut the image and the stripey mat. Just hand cut the green DP to fit in between.

I added a light coat of Stardust stickles over the branches and Christmas baubles. I couldnot get a photo that captured the sparkle no matter how hard I tried...

Don't forget that the March  Rudolph Days Challenge is open till midnight on the last day of the month.  I look forward to seeing your entries!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
1. Christmas Card Club - Off the wall, Zany, wacky card
Pixies Crafty Workshop - must use snippets

Sam at Whisper's Cards has made us this sweet card. The image is adorable and beautifully coloured. I think the die cut mat looks beautiful  on this card.

Jenny at  Cardsarus was humming Xmas carols when she made this lovely card. Can't you just hear her! The felt holly leaves look wonderful with this great sentiment. Loving all the different fonts here.

Berina at Moxie Craftie Blog has made this lovely wreath card. The gilded mat and sentiment are such a festive touch. I really like the scattered bling on the wreath. They look just like berries!

The prize this month is a choice of this Echo Park Holly Jolly Stamp set

or this Memory Box Pinpoint Snowflakes die.

In The Meadow

Today's card was made at my last Langley Stampers Club meeting. Mildred designed this card using a Stampin' Up  "In The Meadow" stamp set.

She used a tried and true design featuring a trio of  stamp snippets along one side of the card, and a larger rectangle to the right, which features a deer and fawn. This is a lovely set and it was fun to play with it. Although she supplied a couple of sentiments for this card, I chose to leave it blank for now, until I decide just what occasion to use it for.

We used green and brown ink and coloured the deer panel with chalk. A quick and easy card with a calm feeling and design!
